OUR GALA DAY IS COMING UP ON 23rd MARCH!

On23rd March we will be holding our biennial Gala. How time flies?!
This is a major fundraiser for the school, so we need everyone to pitch in and help.

Donations of Goods: Now is the time to bring along everything you no longer need.
A great start has been made organising the stalls in the Hall: books, DVDs, toys, jewellery, pictures/frames, shoes, good quality clothing and linen and of course our famous "white elephant" stall. It’s not too early to start bringing along contributions for our stalls.
Please leave any donations in the hall foyer for our team to sort.

Send along books in good condition. Please don’t send any magazines, Readers’ Digest, National Geographics or encyclopaedias. We just can’t sell these.
Sort through the kitchen cupboards and send along the stuff you haven’t used for ages.
Toys, puzzles and board games
. Please don’t send broken toys, puzzles with pieces missing or teddy bears with no arms or legs!
Clean out the kids wardrobes. We’d love the clothes and shoes they no longer wear or need.

We’ll be organising stall holders and who can work on each stall over the next couple of weeks, so please be patient. You can expect a call from us soon!

GALA RAFFLE
The Gala Raffle is a great fundraising part of our Gala. Students are selling tickets now, and there are 2 x $50 cash prizes for the 2 families which sell the most raffle tickets.

First prize: new iPad air, household goods (towels, clock, serving ware etc), wine etc all packed in a brand new wheelbarrow – value $1000.
Second prize: $200 cash
Third prize: $100 cash

REQUESTS FOR DONATIONS
Chocolates and Wine: We have a spinning wheel at the Gala which is very popular.
We need chocolates and wine for prizes. If you are able to donate something, that would be fantastic. Just drop it in at the office.

Produce Stall: This is always a great little money earner for us. It’s not too late to take cuttings or plant seedlings. Have a clean out in the back of the shed for your ‘no-longer-needed’ empty pots. We can look after these and any plants until the gala.

Gazebos: If you have a gazebo we can use at the Gala, we’d love to hear from you. We need about 12.
