HALCOMBE
SCHOOL
"
Today for Tomorrow "
Many organisations support
Halcombe School!
Through our own fundraising and the regular support
of agencies such as "Pub Charity",
Halcombe School is able to provide a full and
vibrant education programme.

Our Board of Trustees takes an active
role in approaching funding agencies to support numerous
projects at the school. Trustees coordinate
applications with the support of our Principal and
school staff.
The school contributes its own funds and we also rely on
donations from our PTA.
Funding agencies help us
to provide excellent senior camps at reasonable
cost to
families, high-quality classroom resources, technology
and ICT equipment, sports uniforms and library books.
Pub Charity
has been a great
supporter of our school for a number of years!
In July 2011, their grant of $1440 allowed us to
purchase two fantastic marquees that will provide shade
and shelter at sports days and school events.
Pub Charity grants have
also allowed us to purchase new drinking fountains, a
high-quality photocopier for our school, purpose-built
furniture & shelving for our school library, top quality
gymnastic gear, sports uniforms, food technology
equipment and have paid for transport to Marlborough
Sounds camps on three occasions. We are grateful for
their support!
Other organisations
have also supported us:
Eastern &
Central Community Trust has provided donations for
interactive teaching stations in each classroom.
Pelorus Trust has supported our purchase of sports
uniforms on a number of occasions.
Infinity Foundation has supported our purchase of a
fantastic "sports trolley" bursting with balls and
sports gear.
Central Energy Trust and the Eastern & Central Community
Trust helped us to upgrade our photocopier.
Central Energy Trust has also donated funds for exciting
audio visual equipment.
Dudding Trust has been a generous supporter with
donations for new library and reading books as well as a
data projector.
Unison Trust (now Endeavour Trust) provided us with
funds to upgrade our basketball hoops.
Scottwood Trust made a donation towards the purchase of
language games.
Trusthouse gave us a donation towards the purchase of
new and improved library shelving.
In 2010 the Eastern & Central Community Trust donated
$4,000 for the purchase of the latest ICT and AV
equipment for our classrooms.
Late in 2010 New Zealand Community Trust provided
funding for new combination basketball/netball hoops -
fantastic and essential sports gear!
In 2011, Rural Communities Trust provided a grant of
$1000 towards our Room 6 camp to Turangi.
Once again, TG Macarthy Trust has gifted us $1000 towards our library.
