HALCOMBE
SCHOOL
" Today for Tomorrow "
Halcombe School
is part of the digital world and recognises the importance of information &
communication technology (ICT)
in all
areas of modern life, including in teaching & learning.
All teachers and students
have access to up-to-date equipment and programs.
Professional development in ICT is a priority.
The effective use of ICT
makes our classrooms vibrant, exciting and creative
places to teach & learn.

Our
Classroom Blogs - visit them
today!
Each class at Halcombe School has their own "blog". Blogs ("web logs") are
a wonderful way for our students and teachers
to connect and share their learning with other
students, families
and friends. You will see examples of the quality
teaching and learning using ICT.
"Cybersafety"
and student privacy
Safe and sensible use of the internet is important, as
is the protection of a student's privacy as they use the
world-wide web. Halcombe School employs rigorous
internet filtering across its computer network and has
strict rules for all users (staff & students). At
Enrolment, families must complete "Cybersafety
Use Agreements" for each student before that child can
use any ICT equipment or have access to the
internet.
We will also request permission at Enrolment for the
school to publish a child’s image and/or school work
online. Full details are available at the Office.
