Halcombe SchoolHALCOMBE SCHOOL
 Today for Tomorrow "

The Halcombe School Board of Trustees is committed to building and maintaining a strong partnership with the our community.

A positive & professional relationship.

A strong and positive relationship between the school and its community means better learning outcomes for all students.

From time-to-time you will have the opportunity to respond to questionnaires & surveys from the Board and provide your opinion on draft curriculum and school policy documents.

Community meetings, forums and surveys are held periodically where parents / caregivers have the opportunity to share their ideas on a range of issues.

Late in 2011, the Board circulated a Parent Survey at our "Celebration of the Arts" evening. The response to this Survey was very positive! You can view the summary here.

Each year, schools are required to set Achievement Targets for groups of students, and develop and implement teaching and learning programmes to address the needs of these students. Schools are also required to consult with the school's Māori community, and develop and make known to the school's community, policies, plans and targets for improving the achievement of Māori students. We have completed our consultation for this year's targets and these form part of our Charter 2012.
